Jake's Flea Market

it never comes out the way it went in

a prince and the son of a nobleman

a prince and the son of a nobleman

one for six french swords
and one for six barbary horses
wielded foils in their gauntlets

for the copper blonde
daughter of the house of fugger wield
a goose feather

nightly dip the quill in the inkwell

between the folds in the parchment write

the east shines
and radiant are the
seas and the continents that
so briefly face the sun

and desirable that side of the
globe that is the joy in your
eyes and in your smile

hamlet and laertes
they never required those trophies

those prizes were left unclaimed
