tomorrow when the sun is still in its seed
before the seed cracks and the first light
sprouts then spreads like a sudden vine
toward dusseldorf and cologne tomorrow
remain blind as a mole rat
though the voice of the nightjar
restores your hearing and the song
of the robin cures your senses remain blind
dusk yourself back into dream
dusk yourself deaf again and unconscious dusk
and when you can no longer dusk dawn
open your eyes
sit up on the edge of your feathers
the wood of the floor waits for your feet
tomorrow when the sun is still in its seed
About Me
I have a day.
