like glaciers the mountain
like rain forests like jungles its body’s
immune to every plague it carries
inside the closed bag of its own hide

if it has lungs it holds
inside itself every virus it breathes
into its own blood
stream if it has veins

the mountain doesn’t breathe out

if it has blood it holds
inside itself every toxin it bleeds
into its own mass into its own muscle
into its own heart into its own lungs
into its own intestines into its own
organs if it has organs

the mountain doesn’t bleed out

but the mountain is pandora

the closed bag of its hide opened
everything it holds inside it
                              breathes
into every wind
                              bleeds
into every water
